Toy Box

I’ve built up quite a collection of toy keyboards & gadgets;

Former suitcase display rack, converted to hold my toy keys. Found a doctor's magifying lamp in a dumpster to finish it off, along with side mirrors from my bicycle.

  1. Both phaser AND disruptor sounds? Incredible!

    • ’tis puzzling to me, are not Trekkies very anal about their costumes? Wouldn’t they get flack for having the PERFECT ROMULAN COSTUME, but waving around a phaser making disruptor sounds?

      • I would have thought so. You read all sorts of online articles about details. “Scotty’s uniform has the wrong rank pins on it.” I haven’t heard any beefs about that phaser.

        Did you know there is a portion of Star Trek continuity in which the Enterprise has THREE captains simultaneously? And that doesn’t include Sulu who was captain of the Excelsior.

        • Is that the one where Picard time-travels in his head?
          I have to tell the story of how I got it. In the moving company warehouse, there was an abandoned house job- ton of stuff they just walked away from rather than pay their bill. We considered it the “magic gimme pile”, if you needed something, you just stuck your hand into the huge pile and rooted around. Almost EVERY TIME you got what you asked for. My driver, in a rush one night said” I need a sink drying rack for plates” and the first box he opened had his choice of FOUR. I laughed and said “Betcha there’s even a…..lemme guess……Star Trek Phaser in there!” pried open the corner of a box with ‘toys’ written on it and NO F’N WAY!!!

          • No — in Star Trek II, Spock was promoted to Captain, while Kirk was Admiral. In Star Trek III, Scotty gets promoted to Captain of Engineering. Then in Star Trek IV, Kirk gets dropped down to Captain again. Therefore in Star Trek V we have a brief period where the Enterprise has THREE Captains — Kirk, Spock and Scotty. Sulu got his promotion and transfer in Star Trek VI.
